This week’s creativity-over-productivity #bulletjournal spread is dedicated to mason jars. There is a reason for this! Mason jars always make me think of @hedgebrook, the writers’ retreat where I worked on SHADOW OF NIGHT and THE BOOK OF LIFE. At Hedgebrook, mason jars contain soup, shells, ideas, to do lists, and flowers. They are a kind of metaphor for “one thing at a time” living. Once, I organized a book by getting a mason jar for every chapter and chucking ideas, images, and words into each jar. So it seemed like a perfect way to containerize and block out writing time (as well as all the other things in life).
This week I’m hoping to fill my empty jars with gratitude, done lists, and writing progress. What would you fill yours with?
